The Violin

I honestly don't know how I got to thinking about violins the other day, but the Lord gave me a beautiful picture through that bunny trail. :)
And I'm sorry about the misspellings in my notes and the funny coloring on the verses.

"The Empty Violin"

------

"I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are Thy works; that my soul knoweth right well.
"My substance was not hid from Thee, when I was made in secret,
and curiously wrought in the lowest prats of the earth.
"Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in Thy book all
my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned,
when as yet there was none of them"
Psalm 139:14-16

"And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
"And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
Genesis 2:15-17

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"

"And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make onewise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."

"And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
"And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
"And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
"And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?"

"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

"And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
"Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

"Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
"And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
"Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
"So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."
Genesis 3:1,6,8-11,15,17-19,21-24

------

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
"The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
"They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
"Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD."
Psalm 14:1-4

"Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."

"For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
"In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood."
"And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him."
Isaiah 59:1-2,12-13,16

"Then the LORD passed by in front of him (Moses) and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;
"Who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”
Exudos 34:6-7

"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man."
Hebrews 2:9

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
"For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
"But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God"
John 3:16-21

------

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
"For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
"That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
Romans 8:1-4

"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
"But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:"
1 Peter 1:18-19

"And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
"Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
"Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
"And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
"That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
"Not of works, lest any man should boast.
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
Ephesians 2:1-10

------

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Romans 12:1-2

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
"For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
"For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Matthew 16:24-17

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
"For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30

Another Milking Trip :)

Monday, December 14th was so pretty! The snow was falling in great big flakes and covering everything it could! I had to take a minute to thank my dear Father for such a beautiful day. He is so good at putting little things into our day, to make it special!

The cottage cheese/yogurt container had hot soapy water and a rag inside it.

My gloves I got from Orschlens

Sam getting some gloves :)

Nate beat us out the door, as you can see by his foot prints. :)

We feed the kitties a little bit of food in the morning and evening. Sometimes it keeps them out of the barn while we milk.

Me, walking to the barn. See our foot prints? Sam, Watson, and I. Not sure how Opal got into the garage...

Talitha had snow on her. :)

I'm HUNGRY!

Her yummy food

Me, washing her udder

Milking

Snow

Wash water and bag balm

All done!

From Talitha's point of view
(Sam's getting her second bowl of sweet feed)

It looks terrible in the barn right now because of all the rain and snow we've had! But we try to clean up any piles after we milk. Talitha has a nice bed of hay to sleep on, and we try to keep that clean too. :)

Looking better, Sam!

We got about 3" of snow.

Doesn't our house look cozy?

Thank you to Sam, for taking almost all of the pictures and the video.

That's all for now, folks! Have a blessed day as you serve Jesus!
Jesus',
Abi

Some sad news...

Well, the milk samples came back negative. So Talitha is not pregnant. :( But there is a guy near us who might bring one of his bulls here. Which would be really good! Then she would for sure get bred! We'll see how that goes.

Here is some cheese I made. :)

But this was exciting news! Sam got a doe! He was sooo happy!

I got a milking machine!!!

After much searching and praying, the Lord provided this milking machine setup for a very good price. Nate and I drove to just outside of Lincoln (about 2:30 hours one way) to get it.
Praising God for His goodness and love!

This is the vacuum pump

Pressure gauge (I think).

Surge Vacuum Pump

Oil

Here is the milker. It is a Surge Belly Milker.

The surcingle that holds the milker under the cow.

These are shells that hold narrow bore inflations (for cows with little teats).

The pulsator

Westfalia Surge rubber tubing, these are air tubes.

Underside of the milkers lid.

These are normal sized shells and inflations (for cows with big teats).

Nice rubber!

There is a dent in the bottom, but nothing terrible! :P

Last, but not least, the air hose. :)
