Nebraska City

Gram and Ryan's have a tradition of going every fall to Nebraska City so they can see the trees. They take Gram's camper and usually stay for a weekend. This year, Mom, Emmie, and I went with them, so that we could look for some land that a relative (form the 1800's) used to live on.

Mom, Emmie, and I stayed a Best Western in Nebraska City. It was really nice!

Yummy doughnuts!

We also took LOTS of pictures. :)

Every year they take a picture by this bush. :)

Here are some pictures of the land that Gram's great Aunt Louisa Jane (McWilliams) Lowery.
They lived there around 1883

We think this was the cellar

A windmill

133 years later... great niece Patricia Joan (Mcwilliams) Lowis stands in their yard.
Isn't that neat?

There was an old wagon inside the shed. Our imaginations went crazy, "Maybe this is the wagon that they used!" :)

Here is a HUGE tree. We wondered if it is one of the original trees from the farm.

There is some wood that is imbedded in the trunk. We thought maybe a tornado went through and drove this wood into the tree or it grew into the tree. What do you think?

This railroad used to be in a different area. I'm not quite sure when they moved it, but kind of an interesting fact. :)

Yesterday (October 31st) we had the littles over and Joseph was having fun poking my cinnamon roll dough. :)

Total cuteness!

He also helped Sam gather laundry. :)

Look at those muscles!

They turned out pretty good. :)

Our chicks are doing good. One got murdered last night. :( But I am setting a trap tonight for the nasty animal that got it. Poor chick! Pray that I catch it before it kills more of them!
