Cherries! Praise the Lord, it looks like we'll get a good harvest! That was my prayer!

Grass is growing!

Watson

Mom, Emmie, and KK planted some flowers. They will look really nice once they get established.

KK and Watson

Emmie is showing me a big earth worm. :)

Talitha was tied out very close to where we were working. :) She enjoyed watching us.

Sam

Playing with his truck.

Chicken and Ham Pie

Flour, butter, and salt for the crust.

Add a little water and you have a pie crust!

Now into the fridge for 30 minutes.

Cutting up the ham.

Thyme, mace, pepper, and basil. :)

Chicken and ham

Mince it all up!

Add spices and sour cream (it called for cream, but we didn't have any)

Onions

Into the crust you go!

Egg wash it and put it in the oven!

Anyone want to try a little?

The boys and Dad ate it up! I haven't asked them how they liked it, but all of it got eaten!

All for now folks!

The Joys of Living on a Farm

The blessings of living on a farm is one thing that I never want to become numb to. The quiet and peace is very calming. I am so thankful to Jesus for it!

Rain, rain!
We have had soooo much rain recently! But is it very nice for the garden and pasture.

This wheal barrow was sitting under our barn's eaves when it rained! :)

Mom's onions are doing well!

Potatoes!

This garden is taking a break for a while. Lots of manure and ashes from some trees and branches we burnt.

Cleaning out Talitha's pen has become very relaxing for me. :)

Thats all for now! Blessings!

Cats, cow, and carrots :)

Funny title but true! :) :) Here is a long over due post!

Sam took this picture of Opal while she was sleeping. Well, I am not sure that she was sleeping, because she can be sneaky sometimes. :)

I had Sam lead Talitha into the barn. She was naughty and wouldn't walk into the barn but just stood there. So I had to help a bit. We'll be working on that.

Watson, soaking up the sun!

The flies were bothering Talitha and making her bleed so I put some Petroleum Jelly on and I think that helped. At least it helped heal up the fly bites.

Nasty, Nasty flies!

Thats better!!
She really liked me putting it on. It probably helped stop the stinging and itching.

Grass + Cow = Happy Cow

The grass that we planted is coming up!!

Opal enjoying the sights

This is one of my creations that did not turn out, but it had the potential to be very yummy! :)

Carrots, chips, eggs, flour, brown sugar, butter, oats, and soda

In the oven...

Now taste testing!
It needed less eggs, flour, oats, and baking soda and more brown sugar and butter. :) He he! Oh well! Try try again!
