The Joys of Living on a Farm

The blessings of living on a farm is one thing that I never want to become numb to. The quiet and peace is very calming. I am so thankful to Jesus for it!

My fat girl

Rose leaves

Rain, rain!
We have had soooo much rain recently! But is it very nice for the garden and pasture.

This wheal barrow was sitting under our barn's eaves when it rained! :)

Mom's onions are doing well!

Potatoes!

This garden is taking a break for a while. Lots of manure and ashes from some trees and branches we burnt.

Cleaning out Talitha's pen has become very relaxing for me. :)

Thats all for now! Blessings!

Cats, cow, and carrots :)

Funny title but true! :) :) Here is a long over due post!

Sam took this picture of Opal while she was sleeping. Well, I am not sure that she was sleeping, because she can be sneaky sometimes. :)

I had Sam lead Talitha into the barn. She was naughty and wouldn't walk into the barn but just stood there. So I had to help a bit. We'll be working on that.

Watson, soaking up the sun!

The flies were bothering Talitha and making her bleed so I put some Petroleum Jelly on and I think that helped. At least it helped heal up the fly bites.

Nasty, Nasty flies!

Thats better!!
She really liked me putting it on. It probably helped stop the stinging and itching.

Grass + Cow = Happy Cow

The grass that we planted is coming up!!

Opal enjoying the sights

This is one of my creations that did not turn out, but it had the potential to be very yummy! :)

Carrots, chips, eggs, flour, brown sugar, butter, oats, and soda

In the oven...

Now taste testing!
It needed less eggs, flour, oats, and baking soda and more brown sugar and butter. :) He he! Oh well! Try try again!

Talitha

Ok ok! I know this isn't Talitha, but I had to put it on! :) :) KK is so funny!

I have been tying Talitha out so that I don't have to give her hay all year round.

She does well with the ropes, not getting tangled in them.

Breakfast for Supper

Breakfast for supper is one of my favorite meals! It is so yummy! Try it sometime if you haven't already. :)

Eggs

Eggs all done

Pancakes

We put chips into our pancakes. :)

Bacon!

Hash browns (store bought)

My supper!! Oh so yummy!

Gardening!

My sweet brother, Josh, finally got our garden tilled!

Now, time to dig deep!

We also have been doing a lot of work on our yard this year so KK was tilling up the ground so we could plant grass.

Isn't it pretty??

Potato rows

Spuds

Planting grass

We planted marigolds at the end of each row for markers.

Watson looking for shade

After I emptied the sack Watson climbed in! Ah! Shade!

Mommy, planting onions. They are her specialty! :)

Emmie, planting green beans. She is not an out doors person, but she helps me sometimes in the garden. She is a gem!

All done!

KK tilling

It was a lot of work, but so nice to have it done!
